Hello to all of the teachers out there (new, veteran, aspiring, still looking etc).  Each and everyone of you is important and will touch lives this year!  What are your emotions right now?  How are you feeling? What are you thinking about.

When I was teaching my first thoughts were "what will my students be like?"  What will their families be like?

Here are some things I challenge you to try this year RIGHT NOW! :)

Parent Parties!

Social Media for Families

Today (well, about two to three weeks BEFORE school starts send out a welcome post card!

About one week before make a phone call to each family and welcome them and invite them to a back to school night.

Plan and host a back to school night.

Set and know that you will have a classroom community (throughout the entire classroom day)

Decide that you will get your students excited about learning

These are just a few things I am going  to challenge you to try right now! :)
