Bright Butterflies
1/2 pretzel rod
pineapple ring
lemon yogurt
sprinkles
Plastic bowl for each ingredient
plastic spoon for each child
plastic knife for each child

Lay pretzel on plate, slice pineapple ring down the middle and place beside pretzel rod like wings. Spread yogurt on pineapples and sprinkle sprinkles :)

Bug Juice
I like to do this when we are doing the color red! (10 Servings)
2 10 oz pkgs. frozen strawberries, defrosted
16 oz. can lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 quart ginger ale
2 cups raisins
6 gummy worms
blender
punch bowl
Mix the strawberries and lemonade concentrate in a blender until smooth and thick
Gradually add ginger ale
Transfer the mixture to a punch bowl
Stir in any remaining ginger ale and the raisins.
Place the gummy worms’ on the rim of the bowl
I like to do this when we are doing the color red! (10 Servings)

Container for pouring off buttermilk
Fill condiment container about 1/2 full of whipping cream and fasten lid securely.
Tell students to shake horizontally to prevent leakage
Warn students to keep lid ON container until the butter is ready
Keep the container moving at all times
Have students pour the liquid off the butter into a container. BUTTERMILK
Provide crackers or pretzels for students to enjoy their butter.
Rhyme for students to chant:
Butter, butter, shake, shake, shake,

Sugar Syrup:
tap water
2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Soda Pop:
sugar syrup
assorted fruit juices for flavoring
1 small bottle lemon juice
1 small box baking soda
First, make sugar syrup. Heat two cups of water, add sugar, and stir until dissolved. Add vanilla. Remove syrup from heat and allow to cool. Pour the mixture into a large jar and chill in the refrigerator.
