Literature Circles
1 In a Literature Circle you will group students by ability.
2. In a Lit circle you will let children in the group choos their own book. (Each group has the same book). Before you start the Lit Circle the teacher chooses books he/she wants the groups to choose from.
3. Each group will meet weekly (5 times) this can change depending on grade and books.
4. Students cand choose as a group to read on their own, in pairs, or aloud together.
5. Students are in charge of their own group. The teacher is only the monitor/facilitator. (The first few times you will have to model for the class how to smoothly run a Lit Circle)

Please remember A Lit Circle can be completed by any age of child that can read.
