Reading/Library Center-This is a place where students can be comfortable, they can relax, and enjoy a book. It is also a place where students can interact with each other as they read with a partner, or discuss books they've read.
Things you may want in your Reading Center:

student-made books
pillows, beanbag chair, rocker, tree-house, couch, tents, wading pool, sandbox, clawfoot tub etc.

-Tubs-Organize books in tubs thematically. They are easier for students to find.
-Have a place where children can easily find book marks.
-Add newspapers to the reading corner and magazines with current events it is easier to discuss if they read about them.
-Each month do a new BOOK A MONTH- Animal story month, Thanksgiving month etc.
-Students can keep logs
-Include student published books, or books from home they enjoy reading with their parents.
-Make sure to include big books, and even puppets that children can use.
-Have Reading Corner Themes: Camping, picnic, Christmas Etc.
-Have parents come and read to students, or have stuffed animals for children to read to.
-Box full of pointers---allow students to read the room. Can also use a flashlight to point out words. Students can also use glassed to read the room.
